CPhI Worldwide
CPhI Worldwide was launched in 1990 as an international convention on pharmaceutical ingredients and intermediates. This inaugural CPhI attracted 250 visitors for the 16 exhibitors. Today this has grown to an unrivalled 24,000 industry professionals visiting some 1,500 exhibiting companies from over 125 countries. CPhI is the leading exhibition on pharmaceutical ingredients and allied industries. Each year the exhibition grows larger with exhibitors and visitors conducting significant levels of business at CPhI. Two sister events, ICSE and P-MEC now run alongside CPhI, a tripartite of events that is considered the must attend event for any individual or organisation within the pharmaceutical manufacturing community.
ICSE
Following its launch in 1990 the scope of CPhI Worldwide expanded to include sub-sectors experiencing rapid growth such as contract manufacturing, contract research and contract services. Technology was becoming more accessible and many organisations were investigating outsourcing all or part of their production and research processes. Pharmaceutical companies started to look for partners throughout the world that would have the best strategic fit with their own organisation. These developments underlined the need for a global meeting place for the pharmaceutical industry and the subsequent launch of ICSE, the International Contract Services Expo alongside CPhI Worldwide in 2000. Now in its 8th year ICSE is the only truly global exhibition dealing with pharmaceutical outsourcing.
P-MEC
Joining CPhI Worldwide and ICSE in Madrid in 2005 was the inaugural P-MEC, The Pharmaceutical Machinery and Equipment Convention. With many production and procurement professionals already attending CPhI Worldwide it was a natural step to add an event specifically for their manufacturing needs. These three events now form a unique tripartite of events that attract over 22,000 industry professionals from over 110 countries and are considered the must attend events for any individual or organisation within the pharmaceutical manufacturing community. Other P-MEC launches were P-MEC China in 2005, P-MEC India in 2007 and P-MEC Japan in 2008.
BioPh
BioPh is all about companies and organizations dealing with the research and development of new treatment methods made through biotechnological processes or which are derived from or use live organisms. These companies will once again benefit from the mix of exhibition, seminars and 121 partnering meetings at BioPh Europe 2010.
